The Challenge

Dr. Paula Terifaj had decades of veterinary expertise and a passion for animal welfare advocacy — but her insights were being shared almost entirely through her personal Facebook profile, limiting her credibility and reach. When we started working together in 2021 she had few email subscribers and no professional online presence.

Her goal was to build a real platform, grow a meaningful audience, and successfully launch her memoir and documentary.

What I Did

I built her digital social presence from scratch — Facebook Business Page, Instagram Business Profile, email marketing system, and an optimized blog set up to convert readers into subscribers.

I developed a structured content calendar that turned her long-form blog posts into bite-sized social content, driving traffic back to the website. Content pillars included veterinary education, documentary clips, book excerpts, advocacy messaging, and infographics — each designed to build trust with an audience that cares deeply about animal welfare.

On the email side I built an automated system including a welcome sequence, blog notifications, and book launch campaigns. I implemented subscriber tagging to segment her audience by interest and behavior, and set up automated triggers to deliver timely, relevant content — including re-engagement emails surfacing previous blog posts for subscribers who hadn't yet opened them. I also refreshed her email templates to reflect her brand and voice, ensuring every touchpoint felt consistent and intentional.

Email became her most reliable owned channel. I also ran Facebook Lead Generation campaigns with audience segmentation and retargeting to support both the book and documentary launch.
